RoadMap—a full-service capacity-building consultancy made up of independent coaches and consultancy anchored in liberatory practice—have launched a new resource. Practicing Liberation—co-authored by Brigette with Clay Smith—details many ways that consultants and coaches practice liberation across the capacity-building sector. Including tools, analysis, and connective wisdom fueled by interviews, surveys, case studies, and deep thinking, Practicing Liberation is an assessment of the current moment and how to most powerfully support organizations in moving society towards equity and liberation — knowing that our liberation depends on how we collectivize, decolonize, build power, and share resources.
Leadership Reimagined resources cover key aspects of leadership and organizational strengthening, which includes a field-tested digital workbook covering subjects such as: challenging the mythology of leadership, practicing emotional intelligence, and leading in the context of racism and trauma — and with concepts as well as exercises to kickstart reflection, and quotes to spark inspiration.
This Brown Paper flips the script of what is acceptable as a “Paper” on its head. It is not a “formal,” research-based, finished product of the traditional type. It comes from the heart and is meant to be used—like love. It is meant to spark dialogue and provoke. In it, we are asking ourselves, “Are we loving bravely enough?” And “How much am I loving?” “What else I can do to be in community from a place of love?” and “How am I wielding power fused with love?”
